Soneium is a Layer 2 blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs. Designed to bridge Web2 and Web3, Soneium aims to create a versatile, developer-friendly ecosystem that empowers creativity and innovation. It provides a scalable, accessible platform for developers, creators, and communities, enabling them to build and deploy applications that blend entertainment, gaming, finance, and more.
Soneium is developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, a joint venture between Sony Group and Startale Labs, combining Sony’s global resources, capital, and IP expertise to deliver practical blockchain solutions that meet real-world needs.
The Superchain is a network of L2 chains, known as OP Chains, which share security, a communication layer, and an open-source technology stack. However, unlike multi-chain designs, these chains are standardized and intended to be used as interchangeable resources. This enables developers to build applications which target the Superchain as a whole, and abstract away the underlying chains the apps are running on.
Although still in development, the future envisioned by Superchain represents innovation in the L2 ecosystem. Liquidity between Superchains can be bridged permissionlessly. Additionally, dApps built on Superchain can leverage the liquidity of protocols across multiple Superchains.
Built on the OP Stack, Soneium leverages one of the most efficient Ethereum Layer 2 technologies available. This ensures extremely low gas fees and fast transaction speeds, making blockchain interactions seamless and cost-effective for all users.
Kyo is launching on Soneium to leverage its scalable infrastructure, low-cost transactions, and strong ecosystem support, ensuring the best foundation for growth and innovation.
